Modern technologies and equipment for works in water areas

The increase in human economic activity has led to the involvement in the economic sphere of internal waters and the shelf of the seas, which required the implementation of measures aimed at studying the aquatic environment, ensuring safety during water works and ecological monitoring of the consequences of human activities. There was a need to develop effective methods and hardware which allow in for the shortest possible time and with high quality to carry out such activities.
The market of prospecting and engineering works on water areas needs multifunctional system technologies. The technology is effective if it provides high performance and quality at low cost. Versatility is also important for solving various tasks: a detailed overview of the bottom and water column, performing various measurements, drawing of maps, etc. Hydroacoustics is a tool for studying water areas. Universal tools today are variety of sonars and hydroacoustic systems (HAS) - from the echo-sounder to complicated hydroacoustic systems.

For more than 10 years, our company has been developing, manufacturing and supplying  sonar systems of Hydra™ series to the domestic and foreign markets – multifunctional, mobile, small-sized, high-performance sonar systems for swath exploration of the bottom. The complexes are designed for automated high-quality visual observation of the underwater situation of various water areas, its analysis and archiving for further processing and documentation.

Hydra™ complexes and various HAS, built on their basis, are used in various areas of human activity in water areas:

The complex has different configurations:

• side-scan sonar (SSS) - allows you to get a 2-D image of the bottom and water column with high resolution in the swath of survey up to 10 depths from each side. Used for prospecting, 2-D engineering and ecological monitoring, scientific research.
• dual-frequency side-scan sonar (DSSS) - contains two SSS operating simultaneously at different frequencies (high and low). High frequency allows you to get a high-resolution image in the near area, low frequency-lower resolution in a larger viewing area.
• side scan sonar with echo sounder (SSSE) - provides an additional function of measurements with instrumental evaluation, combining the functions of SSS and echo sounder.
• interferometric side-scan sonar (ISSS) - in addition to SSS functions, it allows you to perform measurements, bathymetric swath survey and 3-D monitoring with high accuracy.
• Parametric Profiler (PPF) - allows you to explore the structure of the bottom, the thickness of bottom sediments, look for objects in the bottom soil.

Hydra™ complexes are the smallest sonar complexes on the market. With ultra-small dimensions and weight, they are easy to carry and install, providing high mobility. Installation of the complex is possible on any type of vessel, including small vessels (inflatable boats) and even on an Autonomous robotic self-propelled boat. 
The range of working depths of the complex - from 1 to 500m (depending on the operating frequency), which allows you to use it on almost any water bodies (internal and external water areas).
