The h5sf7d is an ultra-high-resolution ultra-compact side scan sonar (SSS) of the Hydra^ТМ series, combined with a Forward  LockingSonar (FLS) in one package for installation on a remote operatedvehicle (ROV). It is used for search of sunken objects, monitoring of objects of underwater infrastructure, ensuring safety of navigation of ROV.

The use of modern technologies in acoustics and microelectronics allowed to develop a compact and efficient model. Small-sized narrow-profile design allows you to place the locator on Board any ROV.

Ultra-high range resolution (1 cm) for object search and target detection. Using a frequency of 700 kHz, SSS provides real-time, high-quality bottom image with photographic quality in a viewing swath of up to 230 m.

FLS can work simultaneously with SSS and allows to detect objects (including-small), located in the water column in the direction of the vessel, as well as other obstacles. By determining the direction and dimensions of the object, FLS allows you to assess the degree of danger and how to bypass the obstacle. FLS allows you to workalso during the parking (stop) of the vessel.
